The ADR committee of St. Joseph’s College of law organized an Orientation for the ADR Committee Members on 20th December 2023. The Orientation was conducted to equip the students with basic concepts of ADR. Since ADR is an upcoming field.

The orientation commenced with an introduction to the Committee followed by briefing of the ADR policy 2023-24. The orientation was divided into two parts, the first part was a brief lecture on the concepts of ADR such as Arbitration, Conciliation, Mediation and Negotiation and gave a brief idea about how Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation competitions take place.

The second part of the orientation was a simulation of Mediation exercise based on a family matter and later we also conducted a Negotiation simulation based on two cricket teams for IPL Player auction. Towards the end of the session the floor was open for question and answer followed by vote of thanks.
