ABOUT LLM
St Joseph's College of Law, Bengaluru offers a Two-Year LL.M. Degree Programme. The LL.M. programme is organized around two semesters every academic year. The programme is offered with an interest to attract intellectually curious and thoughtful candidates from a variety of legal systems and backgrounds and with various career plans. Besides lectures a masters programme in law would require students to conduct in- depth research in a particular area of law, so that students acquire a comprehensive understanding of that area. A master's degree in law will equip students to pursue careers in academia, research, legal practice, and judicial services. The College uses an interdisciplinary approach to legal studies, with a dynamic, flexible curriculum that appeals to a range of interests, taught by leading scholars also seek to foster an encouraging and supportive learning environment.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Library
The library resources are constantly updated with current publications. It has a large collection of text books, reference books and multimedia, which are continuously updated with the latest editions. The college subscribes to national and international periodicals, databases and online journals. Students can access online databases, journals and catalogues of library. The digital saection of the library provides collection of full text of documents and faculty publications. There is ample reading room space both inside as well as outside the library.

Moot Court
In order to become a successful legal professional, it is essential for a student to know how to apply the law to actual situations and to have awareness of the rules and the etiquettes of the Court. The Moot Court Society of SJCL actively organises various mooting events for students throughout the year. Our students have represented the College at national and International Moot competitions, trial advocacy competitions and client counselling events.

Research
The Research Committee aims at strengthening research initiatives both inside and outside the College. Workshops, journal publications, seminars, conferences are organised on a regular basis to promote, hone and encourage research culture amongst the students.

Counselling
Personal and non-academic counselling is provided by a trained counsellor to help and motivate the students. A full time counsellor on campus helps to maintain and enhance the psychological, emotional and relational wellbeing of the students. Consultations with the counsellor are treated with sensitivity, care and confidentiality

Lecture and Seminar Hall
The spacious lecture and seminar halls are equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities for an enhanced learning experience. Seminar halls, which accommodate large groups at a time are used often for seminars, group discussions and for guest lectures from industry and academia experts.
