Anti-tobacco Day observed by the NSS committee

World ‘NO’ tobacco day is an annual day awareness organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco and advocate for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption worldwide. Use of tobacco causes cancer, heart diseases, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The students of NSS in our college marked this day by raising awareness about health risks, encouraging individuals to quit smoking or never start. This day was aimed to create a healthier world and reduce the burden of tobacco related diseases and premature death by our NSS unit organizing a skit ‘Say ‘NO’ to tobacco’ and making people realize the consequences of the usage of tobacco.
