Film and Documentary Committee Screening of the movie "Tree of Life"

The Film and Documentary Committee hosted a compelling screening of the movie "Tree of Life" on January 9, 2024, at 1:30 PM in Room 306. The film, a 2011 American epic experimental coming-of-age drama, was written and directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Terrence Malick and featured a stellar cast including Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Hunter McCracken, Laramie Eppler, Jessica Chastain, and Tye Sheridan in his debut feature film role.

"The Tree of Life" takes the audience on a mesmerizing journey through the origins and meaning of life. The narrative unfolds through a man's early life memories of his family in 1950s Texas. Interspersed with these personal recollections are breathtaking visualizations of the origins of the universe and the inception of life on Earth.

The event saw a commendable turnout, with diverse members from the college community present. 25 Students, came together to appreciate the artistic and philosophical dimensions of "Tree of Life."
