Guest Lecture ‘The Exigency of Intermingling Law and Literature’
Organized by the Literary Committee 23rd January, 2023

The law and gender committee of St Joseph's College of Law conducted an essay competition on 20th July 2023. Students from all the batches took active part in this competition.
• The topics for the event included
* Gender and Sexuality: a human right
* India's future in gender equality
* Importance of sex education in the education system.

Around 20 to 25 students took part who were guided and monitored by faculty coordinator and the student coordinators. The main purpose of such competition was to bring out the different perspectives and opinions of the students who are eventually going to become the representative future of our nation.

The aim was also to bring in a sense of open mindedness, acceptance and encouragement to voice out their opinions loud enough to bring in the necessary changes. It was an absolute sight to witness students take initiative and show so much dedication into stating down their support to the current gender issues in our country. Lastly, the committee would like to extend their gratitude to our Director Fr. Jerald D’Souza and our respected Principal Ms. Pauline Priya without whose constant support and guidance this event would never be a resounding success.
