Seminar on UPSC exams

A seminar on the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations was conducted on 15th April 2025, aimed at enlightening the students about the importance, structure, and potential of a career in civil services. The session was led by Mr. Pavan, a reputed educator and mentor for UPSC aspirants.

The seminar began with an overview of the UPSC exam – its three-stage selection process (Prelims, Mains, and Interview), eligibility criteria, and recent trends. Mr. Pavan emphasized the prestige associated with joining services like the IAS, IPS, IFS, and others, and how these roles allow individuals to directly impact policy-making, governance, and the lives of millions.

The Director and Principal opened the seminar with an address.

He also delved into the values UPSC instils — discipline, perseverance, and a deep understanding of Indian society. The speaker highlighted the growing interest among youth in civil services as a means of contributing meaningfully to the nation rather than just pursuing private sector jobs.

A significant part of the seminar was dedicated to addressing common myths and challenges associated with UPSC preparation. Mr. Pavan provided practical tips on preparation strategies, time management, and the importance of self-awareness and consistency. He encouraged aspirants to start early, stay informed about current affairs, and stay resilient throughout the journey.

Participants engaged actively during the Q&A session and the seminar concluded with a vote of thanks.
