On 20th January 2023, the students of II-year LLB of St. Joseph’s College of Law were presented with the unique opportunity of visiting the Ashok Nagar police station.The aim of this visit was to familiarize the students about the functioning of a police station and also to show the procedure of filing a FIR.

The Ashok nagar police station is the Bangalore Central Police station with four sub -police station coming under its jurisdiction.

The students. accompanied by Dr. Sneha Balaraj, Vice Principal of SJCL and Prof. Sangeetha Thomas, class mentor of II Year LLB were met by Rajendra DS (Acp cubbon park sub division) he discussed about a very important crime that recently took place in their jurisdiction which was solved by Nabisaab MK (SI) And then later instructed Mr. Nabisaab to explain the procedure of arrest and also the filing of a FIR.

After which the students were taken to see the investigation room and also how an active investigation takes places.

The students were briefed about the writing room and the jail cell, after which we all could witness the surveillance room which showed the footage around the city which came from around 70 different cameras all around the city.
