The AICUF orientation aimed to give a glimpse of the nature and ethos of AICUF and its rich tradition was held on 27th Sep 2025 in the AV ROOM, Admin Block. The resource person of the day was Mr. John Shanthraj an illustrious alumnus of AICUF, and the director and founder of an NGO. The orientation programme began with an inaugural session with the participation of the Director of SJCL, Fr. Jerald D’Souza SJ, Mr. Thomas Alexandar J, the AICUF state and unit animator and 73 student participants. Soon after the lighting of the lamp and introduction of the resource person, Mr John dwelt on the, history of AICUF and the varied manner that it had contributed to society in past. He making the student critique the structured form of oppression in Institutional set up challenged the students to rise beyond the confines of the framework to fight for justice and what is right.

The speech was followed by an oath taking ceremony of the elected office bearers and vote of thanks. And the day concluded with a group photograph and refreshments being served to all the participants.
