St. Joseph’s College of Law Alumni Association in collaboration with The Sports Committee of St. Joseph’s College of Law, organized a friendly sports tournament on 13th December 2025, at the Campus Sports Ground. The event aimed to strengthen the bond between former students, current Teaching Faculty and Non-Teaching Faculty through healthy competition and networking in true sportsmanship spirits.

The introduction was given by the Secretary of Association. The Director Fr. Jerald D’Souza SJ officially inaugurated the tournament with great energy and enthusiasm. The faculty played the matches with vigour and liveliness and the Alumni Association President and the Vice President made sure to put their hearts in encouraging the active participation of all teaching and non-teaching faculty members with the former students

The tournament begun with basketball match between the Alumni Basket Ball team against College Basket Ball Team. The College Basket Ball Team won the match against the Alumni’s. The event was followed by Box Cricket, badminton, carrom and then came the round of tug of war, with members of the faculty and alumni’s and the faculty won by showing their strength against the former students. Although the tournament was friendly, all were seen to give their best with a spirit of fair play and teamwork being brightly cultivated.

Later, the Alumni Association faculty coordinator Mrs. Lincy Joy Kutty gave a vote of thanks and acknowledged the participation and co-ordination of the Management, Faculty teaching and Non- teaching Staff, Alumni Office members and Alumni students, and lastly all the student volunteers who had been a part of this program and this program came to an end with delicious snacks served.

The tournament was a grand success, fostering a sense of unity and shared identity among all institutional stakeholders. It provided a platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and build professional rapport with current staff. The Alumni Association plans to make this an annual fixture to ensure continuous engagement.
