At the outset, St Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru organized its 3rd Alumni Meet on 2nd March 2025. The day was very special as the event began with a group photo session which consisted of College Management, Faculty, Alumni students, and Former faculty later there was an Inter religious prayer which was conducted by the Students of SJCL and then Lighting of Lamp took place. A welcome address was given by Principal Dr. Pauline Priya, warmly welcomed the alumni and she was happy to see many familiar faces and spoke about the strong bond between the institution and its former students.

The General Secretary, Adv. Vaibhav. R gave a brief Annual Report of their tenure of all the activities and meetings conducted during their tenure and followed by the Director Fr. Jerald D'Souza SJ, who took Alumni down the memory lane as a Josephite and he expressed his happiness for all the students who were placed themselves in different legal avenues especially the Litigation. Director Fr. Jerald D’Souza’s message was very keen and adhering to transform the lives of people by bringing about a just and egalitarian Society by molding the young, competent, ethically sound and committed lawyers. To having been trained many professional graduates who are capable of integrating knowledge of legal theory through their practical skills and professional values.

Subsequently, The President Adv. Roshan Melwin Lobo shared his experience and the contribution made by the office bearers to the Alumni Association and also spoke about the achievement of the Executive Member of Mr. Nelson. P Raj who saved a girl from sex work and also appreciated the other Alumni achievements in various fields and following that the Prize distribution took place for the Alumni and Faculty face off match, which was conducted on 14th December 2024, where the Faculty and the Alumni students were awarded prizes. Following that, Ms. Lincy Joykutty, faculty coordinator for the Alumni Association introduced the Alumni Policy of SJCL, she took us through the membership in the alumni association and also about the functioning of the Association and later the Candidates canvassed why they should be elected and what changes or what new things can be brought by them was been said in their speech. Later on, elections were held for various positions like President, Vice President and General Secretary. Accordingly, the voting took place for the post of President and Vice president and results were declared immediately in the open conference hall and Adv. Rithvik Balanagraj was elected as President, Adv. Punith.S was elected as Vice President and Adv. Anupama. M was unanimously elected as General Secretary.

Finally, the meeting progressed towards various recreational activities such as dance and Singing and former faculty Mr. Raj Kumar who had graced the event gave a Zumba Performance and stole the show. A few alumni took the stage to talk about life in and after law school, reminiscing their days at SJCL and advising the juniors on what to expect after law school and with the vote of thanks by the vice- principal Ms. Shoba Hegde the alumni meet came to an end. It was a successful Alumni Meet.
