COMMITTEE ORIENTATION PROGRAM

The Orientation and Workshop of the ADR Cell was successfully conducted on 10th of September 2025 at the College Auditorium. The event marked the official introduction of first-year students to the activities, objectives, and significance of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms and the ADR Cell.





The event commenced with the by the formal introduction of the ADR Committee Coordinators, who were presented as the guiding members responsible for organizing and overseeing the committee’s initiatives throughout the academic year.



The highlight of the orientation was an informative presentation on the fundamentals of ADR, which served as a primer for the students. The session introduced the core mechanisms of ADR, including Mediation, Arbitration, and Conciliation, along with their practical relevance in modern dispute resolution. Students were provided insights into how ADR promotes efficiency, reduces litigation burdens, and offers amicable solutions in contrast to conventional litigation. The presentation concluded at around 2:15p.m. To encourage active student engagement, the presentation was followed by a questionnaire round, where students had the opportunity to clarify doubts, share their perspectives, and test their understanding of the concepts discussed. This interactive segment concluded by 2:30 p.m., ensuring that students were not only informed but also participatory.





In order to provide practical exposure, a demo session on Arbitration was organized.The demonstration enabled students to observe how theoretical knowledge translates into practice, highlighting the roles of Arbitrators, parties, and the settlement techniques. The demo was well received, offering valuable experiential learning.

The formal proceedings of the orientation concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Arfaa, one of the student Coordinators, that extended gratitude to the faculty, committee members, and participating students for their cooperation and active involvement.

Following the orientation, a committee meeting was held to review the program and discuss upcoming initiatives. With this, the day’s proceedings were formally brought to a close, marking the beginning of the ADR Committee’s activities for the academic year.
