The EcoNexus Shark Tank event was held on 8th April 2025, as a platform aimed at fostering entrepreneurial innovation and sustainable thinking. The competition featured 9 outstanding teams, each presenting innovative, sustainability-driven business ideas that showcased a deep understanding of current environmental challenges. 

Adding immense value to the event were the two distinguished judges, Dr. Preethi Sarah JP, Assistant Professor in the department of management in St. Joseph’s University, Dr. Sarah holds a PhD in entrepreneurship and Mr.Saju Samuel, founder of Sunshine Sustainability Solutions, both renowned for their expertise in business development, innovation strategy, and sustainable entrepreneurship. Throughout the competition, the judges engaged the teams in rigorous and thoughtful questioning, delving deep into various critical aspects such as market feasibility, operational scalability, financial planning, environmental impact, and long- term sustainability of the proposed ventures. Many teams were pushed beyond their initial pitch narratives to think critically on their feet, offering refined explanations and showing commendable adaptability and problem-solving skills. The feedback provided by the judges was both encouraging and constructive, offering valuable insights that would undoubtedly help the participants refine their ideas further.

 Overall, the EcoNexus Shark Tank event succeeded in identifying promising entrepreneurial talent and in creating a rich platform for experiential learning, innovation exchange, and professional growth.
