The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee of St. Joseph’s College of Law proudly hosted the International Commercial Law Mediation Competition 2025 on the 28th and 29th of March at its campus in Bangalore.

It was formally inaugurated on the 28th of March and the college had the honor of welcoming Dr. K. Sreenivasan, IPS (Retd.), former Director General and Inspector General of Police, Karnataka, and currently a distinguished advocate heading a boutique law firm in Bengaluru, as the Chief Guest and Mr. Nikit Bala, Partner at ALMT Legal, the official legal partner for the competition. The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jerald D’Souza, S.J. (Director), alongside Dr. Pauline Priya (Principal) and Ms. Shobha Hegde (Vice Principal).

Competition was divided into Preliminary Rounds, Octa-Final Rounds, Quarter-Final Rounds, Semi-Final Rounds, and Final Round.

The Valedictory Ceremony marked a fitting and ceremonious conclusion. Presiding over the occasion as Chief Guest was Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hanchate Sanjeevkumar, Judge of the High Court of Karnataka and Administrative Judge of the Labour and Industrial Tribunal Courts.

Joining as Guest of Honour was Advocate Prashanth Chandra, a respected authority in commercial litigation and arbitration. Also addressing the gathering as an esteemed guest was Dr. Satish Srinivasan, Senior Partner at ALMT Legal.
