The Human Rights Cell organised a Policy Crisis Simulation Competition from 20th to 22nd June 2026, in which 13 teams comprising 30 students participated. The competition centred on a fictional crisis titled "The Quarantine That Never Ended," requiring participants, cast as members of a National Human Rights Crisis Task Force, to analyse a constitutional and human rights issue and draft a comprehensive policy response under a simulated deadline. Over the three days, teams progressed from problem analysis to structured policy drafting, culminating in formal presentations before a panel of judges who evaluated submissions on originality, legal soundness, and persuasiveness. The exercise sharpened participants' critical thinking, legal reasoning, teamwork, and presentation skills while deepening their engagement with pressing human rights and governance issues. Overall, the competition concluded successfully as a rigorous, immersive exercise that strengthened participants' research, negotiation, and policy advocacy abilities.
