St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru, celebrated Women’s Day with great enthusiasm and warmth on 11th March, 2026 in the college auditorium at 1:30 PM. The programme was thoughtfully organised by all the male staff members of the college as a gesture of appreciation and respect towards the women staff members.

The celebration commenced with a prayer led by Mr. Edwin, faculty member of the college, who offered special prayers for all women and reflected upon their invaluable role and contributions to society. The prayer invoked blessings for the success of the programme and the well-being of everyone present.

Following the prayer, Mr. Bhaskar, faculty member of the college, delivered a short and meaningful speech on the significance of Women’s Day and the vital role women play in society, family, and professional life. His address highlighted the contributions, strength, and achievements of women in various spheres of life.

Fr. Harry Terry, SJ, Finance Officer and faculty member of the college, served as the emcee for the event and ensured the smooth conduct of the programme with enthusiasm and energy. As part of the celebration, all the women staff members were divided into teams and engaged in a series of entertaining and interactive games. The games were conducted by Fr. Harry along with Mr. Thomas Alexander, faculty member of the college. The activities created a lively and joyful atmosphere, encouraging teamwork, participation, and camaraderie among the staff.

The Director of the institution, Fr. Jerald D’Souza, SJ, addressed the gathering and expressed his appreciation for the invaluable contributions of women to the institution and society. He extended his heartfelt wishes to all the women present and appreciated the efforts of the organisers in making the event memorable.

The winning teams of the games were awarded prizes and all the women staff members were presented with individual gifts by the Director as a token of appreciation and gratitude.

The celebration concluded with snacks and refreshments served to all the staff members, providing an opportunity for everyone to interact and enjoy the occasion together. The Women’s Day celebration was a memorable and meaningful event that reflected the spirit of appreciation, unity, and respect towards women at St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bengaluru.
